Transport Related

Portagent offers a wide range of transport related vehicle services, from trucking services into and out of the port for RoRo shipping. Loading and unloading for container shipping as well as cleaning a refueling.

Homologation

Vehicles from outside the European Union need to fulfill local technical standards. This is certified by the so called CoC „Certificate of Conformity“.
Since 1994 car manufacturers are required to issue a CoC for every vehicle sold in the EU. In case that you do not have a CoC for your vehicle, Portagent’s experts can assist you with these matters.

Main Inspection (HU/Hauptuntersuchung)

If it is planned to register a vehicle in Germany, a so-called “Hauptuntersuchung” (Main Inspection), short HU is needed. Portagent can help customers with a permanent residency in Germany to take care of it. Prerequisite is that the vehicle is in a sufficiently safe technical condition to pass the HU. Depending on the vehicle it might occur that headlights, indicators, and other technical details have to be adjusted to fulfill EU standards.

Vehicle Appraisal

In some cases, it might occur that German customs will request an appraisal, that confirms a vehicle’s value, to get it cleared.
To resolve such a situation as quickly as possible, we have long standing contacts to independent appraisers, that will prepare the necessary paperwork, if wished by the customer.
